Stocktad, also known as Stormwind Stockade, is a tight prison in the middle of Stormwind. Currently, many dangerous criminals are being held in the stockade, including some criminal planners and Defias mercenaries. Unlike most dungeons in Classic Warcraft, Stockade was never intended to be instantiated, which explains its basic design and lack of a solid loot table.
In keeping with patch 1.12, groups of up to 10 people can enter The Stockade together, although 5 people are considered a typical group size. This guide provides tips and strategies for completing the Stockade dungeon in the classic version of World of Warcraft and describes what you need before and during the dungeon, keep in mind that enough world of warcraft classic gold is essential.
1. How to get to the stockade
Entering The Stockade as an Alliance is really easy. Drive northeast of the Master District, and you will find the meeting stone outside the entrance of the instance.
As for the tribe, getting to the stockade is much more difficult, and most people tend to skip trying to get there. However, for those who are adventurous, please be prepared to take off all equipment and perform a few rez-runs in Stormwind. The suggested route to get there is to take the Zeppelin to Gromgor Base Camp in Stranglethorn Vale. Then, most people swim northward along the coast until they hit the southernmost point of Westfall, float to the shore, and then head east to Elwynn Forest, and then enter Stormwind City to rest assured.
2. Recommended classes in The Stockade
The dungeon is usually completed by five players, including the following characters:
A tank that can threaten, absorb damage and prevent enemy mobs from killing DPS and healers. Usually tank warriors are equipped with shields and use appropriate threat generation capabilities, such as "Armor Sunder" and "Shield Slam." If you want to add dungeons to your party and familiarize yourself with important skills, please check out our "Tank Warrior" rotation recommendations.
Three kinds of DPS: All classes can handle DPS, but the most popular DPS when leveling up are mages, warriors, thieves, warlocks and hunters. Hybrids can DPS, but they usually heal.
A healer who keeps the party alive and resurrects the dead players. He usually becomes a healing priest due to his versatile healing kit and buffs such as Power Word: Fortitude, but druids, paladins and shamans can also heal.
There are many (if not all) melee creatures in the stockade. AoE ability is great here, but if needed, since most creatures are humanoids, it is easy to CC. Some examples of using good crowd control are:
Rogue - Sap
Priest - Mind Control
Mage - Polymorph
3. Notable garbage mobs
Defias Prisoner
Defias Prisoner is one of the most annoying mobs in the entire stockade. Their main ability, Disarm, can make tanks a threatening nightmare. Whenever you encounter a group of multiple prisoners, I strongly recommend that you CC one or tell your DPS to wait 10 seconds before initiating damage.
4. Boss
Targorr the Dread
Targorr the Dread is an elite level 24 orc located in a cell in the stockade. Before contacting him, please make sure to copy at least one Defias. Have your tank pick up the remaining supplies and Targorr, and remove him from the CC'ed supplies. As before switching to Targorr, all DPS should be reduced first. Once the boss and the first addition die, make sure to kill the addition added by the CC.
Kam Deepfury
Kam Deepfury is a 27th-level elite dwarf located in one of the northeast cells in the stockade (northeast). Like Targorr and many other bosses in this dungeon, King was surrounded by Defias in his room. Before contacting him, please make sure to copy at least one Defias. Let your tank pick up the remaining supplies and Kam and evacuate them from the CC'ed supplies. As before switching to Kam, all DPS should first check the additions. Once the boss and the first addition die, make sure to kill the addition added by the CC.
Hamhock
Hamhock is an elite level 28 ogre located in the last east room of The Stockade. Two Defias flanking hammocks. Before contacting him, please make sure to copy at least one Defias. Let your tank pick up the remaining supplies and Hamhock and keep him away from the CC'ed supplies. As before switching to Hamhock, all DPS should be reduced first. Be wary of his chain of lightning ability, which may be annoying in heavy melee combat. Make sure to spread as much as possible to reduce damage.
Bazil Thredd
Bazil Thredd is a level 29 elite figure located in the east corner of Stockade. In theory, Basil is a simple tank and spanking, but his high level and smoke bombs make him difficult in certain groups. Make sure to cover the water tank to prevent him/her from dying if the smoke bomb stuns. Bazil can cause a lot of single target damage, so if you have any melees in your team, make sure to ask them to support the healer and heal the tank if needed.
Dextren Ward
Dextren Ward is a 26-level elite located in the west corner of Stockade. Due to his intimidating yelling, Dexren is one of the most challenging bosses in this dungeon. Make sure to clear all additives in the surrounding corridors so that during the fear period, no one on your team mistakenly extracts other additives. If you pull additional Defias mobs with Dexren, make sure to CC as much as you can, and pay attention to Dexren first, because his fear may punish you greatly. If you do a good job of cleaning up the clutter and the rooms around him, then this battle will be no problem at all.
Bruegal Ironknuckle (Rare)
Bruegal Ironknuckle is a level 26 elite dwarf located in a western cell in The Stockade. Bruegal is the simplest boss in this dungeon and the most profitable trophy. However, since he is a rare spawner, you are unlikely to find him during the run. Before participating, make sure to clear the surrounding blocks. He is the literal definition of "Tank War".
