When will Burning Crusade Classic be released?

The new expansion for WoW Classic will be released on June 1st in America and here on June 2nd in the morning. That was officially confirmed in our interview with the developers. Previously there was an accidental leak that announced the date. Before the release, however, there will be new content through the so-called pre-patch.

When will the pre-patch for Burning Crusade Classic be released?

May 18th. This update introduces the Blood Elves and Draenei. There will also be the first pre-events around the opening of the Dark Portal.

What does Burning Crusade change in the characters in WoW Classic?

You have to make the choice as early as May 18th, whether you prefer to stay with your current character in WoW Classic or progress to the Burning Crusade expansion. With a special copy function, your character can do both. However, this costs money.

Can I only continue to play Classic?

Yes, there will be separate servers in which you can only play the vanilla version up to level 60.

What do you need to play Burning Crusade?

Nothing, apart from an active subscription for WoW. With this subscription you can play Classic, TBC Classic and Retail-WoW at the same time. However, there will be a special Deluxe Edition for Burning Crusade Classic with a special Cosmetics.
